How To Prepare For Your Creative Photo Slideshows

At Creative Photo Slideshows, we make the complex process of organizing the photos and music for your event as easy as possible. The quality of our shows is superior to any DIY service.

1. Plan on 7-10 images per minute of music
2. Choose music and acquire on original CDs or burn an audio CD
3. Choose photos and number each picture in order of appearance in show (post-it notes are especially handy for this part)
4. Let Carole do the scanning. There is no discount if you do the scanning.*
5. For digital photos, either re-number them for their place in the show, or write a list of where they go in the show
6. For digital photos, either bring the memory card or put them on a CD or flash (thumb) drive
7. For VHS tapes, write down the "time" numbers for beginning and end (start tape at zero)
8. Choose photo(s) for DVD label and case cover
9. Choose text for DVD label and case cover and for beginning and ending show titles
10. Make appointment about one week in advance (reservations for graduation time are preferable)

*I prefer to do the scanning of photo prints and documents to ensure their quality. If you do the scanning, please scan at a minimum of 300 PPI and save as a tiff file, not as a jpg. Files saved in the compressed format of jpg lose quality every time they are saved.
